Vic Guckeisen
Vic
Guckeisen, a single woman from Kiel, Wisconsin, has been involved in
music since she was four years old. She is a 1973 graduate of
Lakeland College in Plymouth WI with a degree in business
administration with a Music Education minor. She
later earned a degree in education with a computer minor also from
Lakeland. She has served as a minister of music in various denominations in
the Kiel area. She has served as keyboardist and cantor at
First Presbyterian, Kiel, Holy Rosary School, Sts. Peter & Paul
School, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church,
St. Peter's Lutheran and Zion Lutheran Church, all in the
Kiel-School Hill-New Holstein area. She is currently teaching
Language Arts, Social Studies and Music (K-9) at Sts. Peter & Paul
School in Kiel.
She has been writing contemporary and
contemporary-religious music since high school. The song
“Come” was inspired by her minister, the Rev. Marcia Thomas, during
one of her reflections on “Come to the Table.” It
invites all to come to the Lord with your whole life.
