Rev. Vernon Hamer
Vernon Hamer, an ordained minister of the Methodist Church in the U.K., has a lifetime's experience in music. Studying violin from the age of eight, he was first a soloist and later, for more than twelve years, leader of two string quartets in Nottingham.
He started composing while in his teens, mostly for voice and piano. He has written music for various instruments and combinations: violin and piano, solo piano, two-chromatic-octave handbells, brass and woodwind and more recently for organ, choir and congregations.
He and his wife have two married sons and four grand-daughters, one of whom is a professional violinist in London. He resides in Nottingham, England.
