Jay
Wright was born and raised in Canyon, Texas. There he began
studying music at the age of four. He studied Music Theory and
Composition at West Texas A&M University where he graduated with a
bachelor’s degree in 2003. He has held various positions in worship
leadership and choral accompanying since graduating. Jay is
currently pursuing the Masters of Worship Studies degree at The
Robert E Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Orange Park,
Florida. Jay, his wife Amy, and their two sons Isaac and Josiah,
reside in Dalhart, Texas, where he serves as Minister of Music at
First Baptist Church.
